Genuine Dermaroller medical device is used to produce thousands of microscopic needle-columns in the skin.
Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The column will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly - often in the same day.
We will use a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin making the procedure comfortable; it will normally take up to 30 minutes for the topical anaesthetic to work and 20 - 30 minutes for the Genuine Dermaroller Therapy procedure.
After a Genuine Dermaroller Therapy procedure your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen and elastin is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced.
It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a gradual and long lasting enhancement.
We will normally recommend that your Genuine Dermaroller? Therapy consists of a series of three procedures with approximately 6 weeks between them.
In the treatment of acne scars and other types of scarring it may be necessary to extend your treatment, carrying out up to five procedures.

Q. IS THIS TREATMENT SAFE?
A. This treatment has been used in medicine for
over 10 years and it has proven to be exceptionally safe in cosmetic treatments, but only if performed by a trained and registered medical professional using genuine equipment.
In our clinic you will be treated only by a fully qualified doctor
specifically trained and experienced in these procedures which

Q. WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
A. Immediately after, your skin will appear sunburnt, moderately red and slightly swollen but that will clear within a couple of days with the application of Chiroxy cream. Otherwise, you may notice an occasional small bruise which will also resolve and apart from that there should be no side effects.
Q. IS DERMAROLLER TREATMENT PAINFUL?
A. Not at all. You should be perfectly comfortable as we apply a topical anaesthetic cream before the treatment in order to make it completely painless.
Q. HOW SOON WILL THE TREATMENT WORK AND HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
A. You will start to see some improvement after a few days
but the full effect will be apparent within 6 weeks. That is the length of time body needs to deposit new collagen. To obtain the optimal result you may need 3-5 treatments in total.
Q. WHAT I CAN AND CAN NOT DO AFTER THE TREATMENT?
A. Immediately after your Genuine Dermaroller Therapy you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.
We will apply Chiroxy Cream after the procedure to help soothe and calm
the skin.
Use tepid water to cleanse the face for the following 48 hours and dry gently, always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area. It is recommended that make up is not applied for 12 hours after the procedure although we are able to supply you with specialist mineral make-up that we feel would be suitable
for use during this period. If you will be in daylight immediately after the procedure apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with a SPF50. For the first 4 hours after the treatment you will be advised not to exercise vigorously, drink excessive alcohol or lie flat. Otherwise you can carry on your activities as normal.
Q. IS THIS TREATMENT SUITABLE FOR ME?
A. This treatment is exceptionally well tolerated, but in rare instances of problems with bleeding, keloid scarring and other skin diseases this treatment may not be suitable.
